| **SIGN-ON BONUS** The successful candidate will receive a $750.00 sign-on bonus ($500 paid at time of hire and $250 paid at the end of the academic year.) Competitive pay starting at $15 per hour based on experience. The Academy offers a generous benefits package including health, dental, retirement, and paid time off. The Deerfield Academy Dining Hall is seeking full-time Cashier/Cooks to work 40 hours per week. Typical schedule includes evening and weekend hours. Primary responsibilities include: provide excellent customer service to all guests in the Greer Store, preparing and cooking short order food such as sandwiches, chicken tenders, French fries etc.; operating a POS system and accurately settling the cash drawer at the end of each shift; operating and maintaining food equipment, including food slicer, Panini grill, espresso machine, soft-serve dispensers and dishwashers; maintaining a clean and sanitary work area; ordering stockroom and bakery items and stocking shelves. | |

| Qualifications include: have working knowledge of food service, food preparation, sanitation, and safety practices in a commercial kitchen; knowledge of and ability to operate a cash register; ability to meet schedules and timelines; is able to work well with others; possesses a strong customer service ethic; has the ability to perform multiple tasks under stressful situations. The ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends is required. ServSafe certification preferred, or the willingness to become certified. | |
