Summary:
The Director of Health & Support Services (RN/LPN) is responsible for the planning, coordinating, directing and
evaluating the various health services that maintain the facility’s functions on a day to day basis. The
Director specifically oversees the operation of all the nursing services for Retirement and Assisted Living
facilities. All responsibilities will be conducted in a manner that exhibits the Integritus mission, vision and
core values.


Essential Job Functions:

• Provides leadership in coordinating, planning and implementing various facility systems.
• Assists the Executive Director to plan, implement, and evaluate new programs, including expansion of service area.
• Ensures that resident' rights to fair and equitable treatment, self-determination, individuality, privacy, property and civil rights, including the right to wage a complaint, are well established and maintained at all times.
• Directs and monitors the development and implementation of the record system, assuring
the facility is in compliance with local, state, and federal laws.
• Assumes responsibility for compliance of agency operations with federal, state and local rules and regulations; maintains relationships with those representatives of governmental agencies who survey and inspect the facility.
• Is responsible for hiring, supervision, evaluation, and termination of appropriate personnel.
• Analyzes and evaluates nursing and related services rendered to improve the quality of resident care and to obtain maximum utilization of staff time and abilities.
• Participates in annual budgetary process; monitors and controls budget for applicable departments.
• Assists Executive Director to make periodic evaluations of facility programs and to make modifications as needed.
• Evaluates residents’ ability to live independently and works with the Executive Director and Medical Director in making decision to transfer through continuum.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, related field, or Associates Degree with minimum 10 years’ experience in management in related field.
• Must possess a current Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license to practice Nursing in Massachusetts.
• Must demonstrate a working knowledge of the following statutory and federal regulations to include EOEA, Medicare for Skilled Nursing Facilities, OSHA, Massachusetts Department of Public Health Regulations for long-term Care Facilities, Federal Nursing Home Reform
Laws of 1990 (OBRA).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proven ability to delegate and supervise effectively
• Demonstrated ability to deal effectively with a wide variety of people, particularly involving
resident relations
• Must possess strong operations knowledge
• Strong demonstrated knowledge in long term care with genuine interest in the field of geriatrics/gerontology with proven ability to meet the needs of residents, family members, and staff.
• Ability to direct and effectively motivate others
• Must demonstrate ability to delegate and supervise effectively. Must demonstrate ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with employees, managers, Residents and all outside contacts

Salary Range $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
