Interested in joining our team of dedicated professionals? Way Finders is currently seeking a Reporting and Analytics Developer in our Business Intelligence department. The Reporting and Analytics Developer (RAD) supports programmatic operations through ownership of software user access; maintenance and configuration of large data sets; troubleshooting technical issues for proper escalation; and through collaboration with program managers for efficient, accurate data collection needs.  The RAD creates, reviews, and updates data dashboards, plus creates and maintains data warehouses.

Wage starts between $65,000 and $77,000 per year depending on equivalent qualifications. Interested applicants must submit a resume and cover letter; applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
 
The candidate may work in a hybrid-remote capacity but must live within commutable distance.  Regular in-office work and meetings are required.

Responsibilities include:

  • Work independently to gather, maintain, and configure large data sets via Microsoft Excel with great attention to detail 
  • Support several projects at one time and be able to re-prioritize as needed 
  • Troubleshoot and triage any database technical issues and report or escalate to management or IT as needed 
  • Collaborate with team members on data validation, deriving key insights, coordination & task prioritization, and communicate updates about fixes/edits to tools & programs used for collection 
  • Partner closely with program managers and leaders to develop processes for existing and future data collection needs 
  • As needed and assigned, create, review, and update data dashboards that are relevant, highly functional, and clear to appropriate personnel 
  • Proactively propose workflow improvement solutions to ensure efficiency and improve the quality of data collection/reporting 
  • Collaborate in developing and maintaining a data warehouse; use efficient programming language (e.g. SQL) 
  • Contribute to improvements in projects by identifying any issues, proposing enhancements in tools, and working on continuous improvement of protocol and process 
  • Create process documentation, training materials, best practices to assist Data Analyst in their efforts to represent data with charts and graphs for easy consumption by client stakeholders 
  • Continuously evaluate existing databases, tools, and processes for employee training and task management 
  • Report project status, adhere to key timelines and milestones, identify data gaps, and serve as a conduit between operational and technical teams 
  • Compile reports that determine service velocity and the effectiveness of our customer service and case management processes  
  • Add and delete users from programmatic software applications and tools utilized throughout the organization 
  • Provision and de-provision database access as needed and in a timely manner 
  • Manage project tasks and schedules to meet project deadlines  
  • Assist with special projects or work assignments as assigned 

Requirements include:

•    5 years' equivalent or related working experience, with 1 year as a field specialist; a combination of experience plus a Bachelor's degree may be a substitute
•    Experience using MS Office, including Word, Visio, and PowerPoint
•    Experience using PowerBI and ability to use programming languages such as SQL
•    Intermediate/Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH and other Excel formulas
•    Experience using Salesforce, Counselor Max, HAPPY or other client or case management databases
•    Excellent communication, strong organizational skills, and very detailed-oriented
•    Comfortable working in a fast paced, highly collaborative, dynamic work environment
•    Demonstrated proactive behavior in addressing issues and problems
•    Excellent written and oral communications skills for technical and non-technical content
•    Ability to effectively operate with flexibility in a fast-paced, constantly evolving team environment with minimum supervision and a high degree of autonomy
