POSITION DESCRIPTIONS

Program facilitators will be part of a team responsible for program development, facilitation of Girls Inc. curricula, group management and supervision of youth.

 

Artists in Action Camp: For students entering 3rd-7th grades. This camp will focus on art, activism and community, and will take place at our new program center in Holyoke. Dates: June 12-August 11, 2023

 

Eureka! Program: For students entering 8th-12th grades. The Eureka! Program includes hands-on STEM workshops, comprehensive sex education, youth-led activist projects, community-based internships, and college preparation mentoring. Program takes place in Holyoke and at UMass Amherst campus. Dates: June 12-July 21, 2023

Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School diploma or GED required; working towards or completion of a college degree preferred
  • Experience working in a youth program, school, or related setting
  • Awareness of and commitment to social justice education, gender equity, reproductive justice, trans justice and anti-racism
  • Ability to communicate, support and work with students with diverse backgrounds and abilities
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to drive program vans
  • First Aid and CPR certified, or a willingness to attend training
  • Covid vaccinated and boosted before employment begins
  • Comfortable in an active, fast-paced, high-energy setting
  • Bi-lingual (Spanish) highly desired
