Description:

Deerfield Academy is looking for a temporary Academy Receptionist to work January 3 – April 21, 2023.  The typical schedule is Monday – Thursday, 8:00 am – 12:30 pm.  This position reports to the Special Assistant to the Head of School, and welcomes and provides information for visitors who enter the Main School Building Lobby.

 

The primary duties of this position are to greet all visitors, including Admission prospective students and their families; collaborate with the Head of School and Admission Offices to convey information to guests, community members, and departments; answer the main Academy phone line and forward calls when needed; maintain familiarity with Academy events, employees and students; and assist with special projects as needed.

Requirements:

The successful candidate will possess a High School diploma or the equivalent, 3 -5 years’ experience in customer service, the ability to work independently as well as part of a team, exceptional interpersonal and verbal communication skills, personal computing skills including Microsoft Office, a strong sense of confidentiality and privacy, and a genuine interest in people.
