UCP is hiring! We are looking for a Massachusetts licensed Speech/Language Pathologist to provide direct treatment to children with significant speech and language delays through developmental evaluation, individual treatment and in groups using a family centered approach. UCP is also willing to provide a clinical fellowship experience for the right candidate. Job duties for this role will include but are not limited to:
Assess and plan speech and language programs for children in the following areas cognitive-language (comprehensive), expressive language (speech), oral peripheral: structural and motor, auditory perception including processing and memory
Design and application of alternative communication systems as needed (i.e., communication boards, sign language, etc.)
Articulation Therapy
Assist in the development of individualized Family Service Plans.
Assist Developmental Specialist in planning and implementation of language focused playgroup's
Conduct all work in compliance with Massachusetts Department of Public Health Early Intervention Operational Standards
Comply with all safety and sanitation regulations, infection control and universal precautions
Perform all work in a way consistent with the mission and goals of UCP including demonstrating sensitivity to the needs of individuals with disabilities and their families from multiple cultural and ethnic backgrounds.
Participate in all relevant staff meetings, case conferences, and in-services
Provide service coordination as assigned

Requirements:

Qualifications:
Master’s Degree in Speech and Language Pathology from an accredited university
Current licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist by the Massachusetts Board of Registration of Allied Health Professionals. Can accommodate a CFY.
Certification in CPR and First Aid, including a program that specifically addresses treatment of infants and toddlers
Experience in early childhood assessment and programming is preferred
Familiarity with specialized treatment, i.e. deaf/hard of hearing, cleft lip and palate, oral motor dysfunction, communication disorders
Demonstrated interest in pediatrics and professional development
Maintain valid driver's license, current auto insurance, availability of a private vehicle.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Comfortable using remote applications such as Zoom
In accordance with MDPH regulations, a pre-employment exam including a statement of physical limitations in working with children, a negative Mantoux TB test or a clear chest x-ray and evidence of immunity for measles, mumps and rubella is required.
Must be able to climb, stoop, get up and down from floors, sit on floors for varying periods of time, reach with hands and arms as well a lift and move up to 40 pounds.
Must have an acceptable CORI, SORI, DPPC and National Fingerprint Check
