Berkshire County Arc’s mission is to assist and support individuals in their quest to identify and realize their chosen lifestyles. This is accomplished through various programs offered: residential homes including independent apartments, employment services, day programs, adult family care, transitions, advocacy & family support, special needs pooled trusts and a mail-house staffed by people with disabilities that serves dozens of businesses across Western Massachusetts. Berkshire County Arc’s programs are offered in Berkshire County and Pioneer Valley. We serve nearly 1,000 individuals per year and have over 700 dedicated staff. Staff assists individuals in all areas of daily living including personal care, housekeeping, cooking, and bringing to appointments and recreational activities. This position works closely with individuals to help them to become as independent as possible and to meet their personal goals. Staff must maintain accurate and complete records, reports and data necessary to meet the requirements of BCArc and any certifying or regulatory agency. Effective communication with other staff, family members and Individuals is required.
Requirements:
High School Diploma/GED and 18 years of age or older (17 yrs old acceptable with limited responsibilities.)
Valid driver’s license

Due to the nature of this position, hours must remain flexible and are assigned by a Manager in accordance with program operational needs. Must work a minimum of 100 hours per year to maintain employment. If unable to work a minimum of 100 hours per year, must obtain supervisor’s approval to remain active.
