AA/EEO Salary Range: Location: Per Year AMHERST MA Job Type: Category: Part Time Seasonal Jobs Education Level: Work Experience: Some High School Coursework Preference: Nice to have Preference: Nice to have Skills/Certifications/Licences: Description: Major Duties: -Teaching and/or assisting with various levels of swim lessons. -Ensuring the safety and supervision of the participants, equipment and facility. -Enforcing the rules and regulations as they pertain to the facility and all swimmers. -Providing courteous professional assistance to the public and maintaining positive public relations. -Assisting with regularly scheduled cleaning of pool area, locker rooms and surrounding areas. -Checking that safety equipment is in correct place and in good working order on a daily basis. -Wearing designated staff uniform. -Attending mandatory staff meeting and in-service trainings. -Performing other duties as assigned. Requirements: 1. Candidates must be at least 16+ years old. 2. Current Red Cross (or equivalent) certifications in: -Lifeguard Training -CPR for the Professional Rescuer and AED -First Aid 3. Or – Current Red Cross Water Safety Instruction certification. 4. Previous experience teaching various levels of swim lessons at a pool or waterfront is preferred.
