Location: Ohio University Campus in Athens, Ohio or CIS Abroad Office in Easthampton, Massachusetts
Number of Weekly Hours: Part-time (non-exempt), 30 hours/week
Anticipated Start Date: August 15, 2021

JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Study Abroad Advisor & Campus Coordinator is primarily responsible for the following key areas within our Campus Relations Team: advising and enrollment growth at a portfolio of assigned university partners (4-5 US Institutions)

SPECIFIC DUTIES:
-Develop detailed knowledge of CIS Abroad’s program portfolio with a focus on best fit programs for designated partners (4-5 US institutions)
-Understand the advising and application process at designated partners in order to best advise students
-Answer student questions through text message, chat, and email channels (questions about programs, how the process works, next steps, etc.)
-Answer incoming calls from interested students, parents, and university advisors
-Advise students on CIS Abroad programs, CIS Abroad application process, and direct them to resources outlining processes at home institution (available scholarships, application, university specific deadlines, etc.)
-Create and distribute university specific marketing materials for student outreach
-Hold open advising sessions (virtually or in-person)
-This position is fluid and may have other assigned duties as needed
-Ohio University:
--Participate in weekly Office of Global Opportunities (OGO) team meetings on-campus
--Assist Ohio University CIS Abroad applicants in the OGO application risk review assessment process.
--Assist the faculty-led programs team in managing Ohio University faculty-led programs. Includes but not limited to: student advising on OU faculty-led programs, faculty program risk review process, OGO budgetary meetings, etc.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
-Bachelor’s degree or four years experience in the travel industry
-Ability to work independently and as part of a team
-Demonstrated attention to detail and follow through
-Exceptional customer service and time management skills
-Computer fluency in most major applications such as Google Suite (Docs, Forms, Sheets, etc)
-Outstanding written and oral communication skills
-Comfortable with a fast-paced and changing environment
-Customer service orientation

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
-Experience working/volunteering/studying/traveling abroad
-Experience working with higher education business departments/business majors
-Previous database/CRM/digital systems experience
-A strong understanding of diversity, equity, inclusion, and social justice
