Job Summary: Full-time Wellness Director, day shift, weekends and holidays off!

The Lathrop Home Wellness Director provides leadership and support for all resident care services to ensure care is provided in a safe and effective manner. The Wellness Director upholds the principles of resident rights, while maintaining compliance with Level IV Residential Care Regulations.

Responsibilities and Duties

Provides supervision for nursing team members including hiring, training, evaluating and providing progressive discipline
Creates and maintains schedule for resident care staff
Completes the intake/admission assessments of new residents
Schedules training to all team members on nursing and dementia-related topics, and assists in maintaining team member training records
Develops resident care plans that accurately reflect resident needs and services
Communicates with residents, family members and physicians regarding resident health care issues, changes in resident condition, and medication changes
Manages medication administration, ensures that medications are dispensed in a safe and effective manner
Reviews resident medical charts to ensure compliance with State Regulations
Participates in on call rotation
Qualifications and Skills

Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) with a background in long-term care nursing
Basic computer skills, including Word, Email and Excel
Strong documentation skills
Ability to maintain and organize daily responsibilities,
Prioritize tasks as needed to meet the needs of the Nursing Department
Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, team members and the general public
Previous supervisory experience in a healthcare setting preferred
