Description:
Community Supports Coordinator, 15 hours, Springfield. This role is currently based in Springfield at a Single Room Occupancy building designed for people who have previously been unhoused. Responsibilities include peer support, mediation (with neighbors and property management), and assistance with meeting the basic needs that will allow individuals to be successful in retaining their homes, and moving forward in their lives. This will include spending time in the community room at the building, meeting or attending housing court with tenants as requested, and more. Some availability to share housing resources with the broader community is also required, as is the ability to train and support individuals to fill in in the Coordinator’s absence. The pay range for this role is $19.00 to $21.50 per hour based bilingual abilities (English/Spanish) and completion of core trainings.

Note: Although this position is 15 hours, the right candidate may be able to combine this position with one of our other positions available to form a 30+ hours position.
Requirements:
Requirements: Given the peer-to-peer nature of our work, applicants must themselves have previously been homeless. Some familiarity with local resources also required.

Preferred: Although not required, bilingual (English/Spanish) abilities are strongly preferred. Some experience with peer-to-peer support within a harm reduction framework is also preferred.

A Plus: Translation experience (English to Spanish), tenancy preservation experience, and Intentional Peer Support, Hearing Voices, Anti-Oppression, and/or Alternatives to Suicide training are a plus.
