Salary Range: Location: Per Year PITTSFIELD MA Job Type: Category: Part Time Human Services Education Level: Work Experience: High School or Equivalent Preference: Required Up to One Year Preference: Required Skills/Certifications/Licences: Description: Position: Day Activities Support Professional 1 Part-Time Location: Pittsfield, MA Rate of Pay: $14.00 per hour Hours: 15 hours per week Schedule: Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 4:30pm-7:30pm Part-Time Day Activities Support Professional 1 Summary: The Day Activities support professional will work in a new After Day Program [ADP] for adult participants in Berkshire County with mild intellectual disabilities who receive funding from the Department of Developmental Services. This program will run Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays 4:30-7:30pm; with additional time spent performing preparatory work such as shopping etc. This position will assist individuals in social/recreational skill building activities, as well as learning activities within the program. Individuals must be comfortable facilitating groups and activities as well as organizing social/recreational activities in the community. Requirements: Part-Time Day Activities Support Professional 1 Qualifications: High School/GED or Hi-SET plus 1 year related experience and/or training. One year supervisory or human service experience desired. Knowledge of and respect for diverse populations. Part-Time Day Activities Support Professional 1 Requirements: Ability to use computers to include Microsoft Word, data entry, email and internet essential. Valid driver’s license, 3 years driving experience, good driving record, use of vehicle with compulsory auto insurance and vehicle registration, and willingness to transport program members in personal and/or agency vehicle. Must be able to travel within the region to access residential settings, employers, and community organizations.
