Become a part of our team of competent and compassionate professionals as a Recovery Specialist Supervisor for Unity Place!

Unity Place, 1 16-bed co-ed program will provide residential rehabilitation services to individuals suffering from addiction and mental illness.

Recovery Specialist Supervisors support the growth, independence, and safety of the individuals served, providing guidance and direct counseling as needed and acting as a role model to others. In addition to individually assigned responsibilities, such as room checks, house laundry, etc., they facilitate diverse client groups as well as provide crisis intervention and emergency services, as needed. Recovery Specialist Supervisors complete program specific forms, documentation, and progress and group notes in a timely and thorough manner. They also use a staff log as a means to convey individual and program information to other staff.

Additionally, Recovery Specialist Supervisors may use their vehicle for transportation of individuals, as needed, and report any program-specific safety and maintenance concerns. They attend and participate in staff meetings, in-services, and other mandatory trainings. Additionally as supervisor they will assist in staff selection, resolving personnel issues, and assist in coaching and counseling of employees under the direction of the Program Director. They will also partner with the nursing unit leadership to identify educational and clinical needs of the nursing staff and facilitates development and implementation of educational programs for staff as needed.

Requirements:
Recovery Specialist Supervisor at Behavioral Health Network have the following qualities:

Commitment to client empowerment and growth, human rights, and community integration (required).
Ability to understand, empathize, and work with an addicted population, including those with co-occurring disorders.
Knowledge of DPH Bureau of Substance Abuse regulations (required).
At least one year of experience in substance abuse treatment environment (required) .
LADC II or LADC III (Licensed Alcohol and Drug Assistants) or equivalent (preferred).
High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
At least two years of supervisory experience (preferred).
Valid driver’s license (required).
