Description:
Exciting leadership opportunity at The RECOVER Project, a well-established peer-to-peer recovery support program with a strong community presence. Lead a dynamic team in realizing a vision of an inclusive recovery community designed to increase access to appropriate recovery supports for all people within our communities.
Primary responsibilities include creating conditions for meaningful community engagement through a peer participatory process, staff scheduling and supervision, program development, and oversight of the day to day coordination, management and operations of the physical space.
Requirements:
Qualifications include at least 3 years lived experience with substance use recovery, demonstrated knowledge and understanding of principles of recovery and ability to uphold the value of multiple pathways of recovery. Minimum of 3 years’ supervision experience and proven competency in working with persons from diverse backgrounds. Experience with management/coordination, grant writing and community engagement. Knowledge and experience working with local recovery-oriented community organizations and service providers is preferred. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills, critical thinking, leadership and organization skills, as well as strong interpersonal boundaries. Computer proficiency required. Some nights and weekend hours required. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required. Bachelor’s degree preferred: relevant experience may be partially substituted for education requirement.
