Responsibilities include supporting people in their home/community to enhance their independence with grocery shopping, meal preparation, banking, doctor's appointments, recreation and other activities of daily living. Advocating for individuals' within various community settings, and providing opportunities to optimize their independence. Develop professional and supportive relationships with participants and provide guidance with the focus on person-centered goals. Weekly schedule requires working days, evenings, weekends and holidays. Schedule is negotiable based on program needs and staff availability. Requirements: Requirements: Some college and/or relevant work or volunteer experience required. Must be 21 or older. Ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, enthusiasm, energetic personality, be reliable, patient, and able to work both independently and as a team member. Basic computer skills necessary. Must have a dependable vehicle for work use, a good driving history, and willingness to transport individuals in own vehicle. (Mileage reimbursement provided.) All candidates must complete and pass background record screening process including fingerprinting, and a driving record check. In-service training provided.
