Description:
Position Summary: The Program Director will lead our thriving after school program which is run out of Pelham Elementary School. This is a salaried position that follows the school calendar. The Program Director will be responsible for site supervision on a daily basis. Program hours of operation are 3:15-5:30 on regular days, 1:20 - 5:30 on early release days.

Program Director Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

Oversee the After School Program to ensure that the program philosophy is maintained and the program is fiscally sound
Recruit, supervise, train and mentor all staff and volunteers in the program. Run regular staff meetings to support staff in contributing to program goals
Oversee all daily operations of the Pelham After School Program including securing staffing, supervising, activity set up & break down
Maintaining compliance with D.E.E. C. licensing standards
Maintain current 501c3 status
Manage the program’s budget, including tuition, payroll, purchasing, and financial records
Oversee the delivery of a healthy and inclusive snack program
Plan and implement activity-based curriculum, taking into consideration the well-being & growth of each individual participant
Build positive relationships with students, staff and families.
Update, distribute and process all enrollment forms
Communicate regularly with parents and community about updates and on an individual basis when concerns arise
Liaise with school administrators, teachers and the community, as needed
Keep website, handbook and marketing materials up-to-date on an annual basis.
Maintain a clean and safe environment
Identify grant funding opportunities and submit applications
Develop and report on ongoing goals created in tandem with the Board.
Requirements:
Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development or related field
Director 1 or 2 certification through Massachusetts EEC
Two years experience as an administrator, experience with after school program experience preferred
Demonstrated supervisory experience
Experience in program development, curriculum development, and/or direct youth service coordination
Experience in budget monitoring, billing, and finance
Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, grant writing experience a plus
Highly motivated and a high level of initiative; ability to work independently and in a highly collaborative team environment.
