Description:
Atlas Farm is a 95-acre, certified organic vegetable farm located in Deerfield, MA. We grow and market produce year-round through wholesale accounts, farmers' markets and our own retail farm store. We are seeking a qualified candidate to join the management team. The farm store manager is a full-time, year-round position with the primary responsibility of overseeing activities at our South Deerfield retail farm store. Specific duties include but are not limited to: managing a staff of 8-10 including clerks, assistant managers, buyer and marketing specialists; analyzing retail sales and trends; daily retail store operations; creating work schedules; merchandising and product displays; sourcing new products for sale; overseeing marketing and advertising; organizing quarterly and seasonal events; and coordinating activities between production and farm store staff. Requirements:
Applicants should have a very strong background in retail management, familiarity with fresh produce, familiarity with organic vegetable production, marketing and creative experience, strong computer skills, and excellent communication skills.
