Join our team of competent and compassionate professionals as a Therapeutic Mentor at Behavioral Health Network. The Therapeutic Mentor will work with a collaborative team that will use trauma informed best practices to address the social, emotional and behavioral needs of 9th grade students in the Pathways program at the High School of Commerce. The Therapeutic Mentor will provide regular and consistent support to students via the Reflection Room, implementing interventions based on program philosophy and protocol. It will be the Therapeutic Mentor’s responsibilities to participate in BHN and school-required trainings, and weakly team meetings at the schools.

The Pathways program is a school multidisciplinary team working within a social-emotional behavioral supportive classroom (SEBS).

Requirements:
The Therapeutic Mentor at BHN has the following qualities:

• Bachelor’s degree and one (1) year experience working with target population OR Associates’ degree, high school diploma or HiSET® or GED ® and two (2) years experience working with target population
• Knowledge of child development, trauma informed care, behavioral health, and behavior management, particularly in a school setting
• Experience working with children with challenging Social/Emotional/Behavioral concerns
• Bilingual Spanish/English (preferred)
