The "Creamery" has been an institution in Western Mass for decades and our restaurant and deli is one of the major social gathering points in the Hilltowns. The Creamery is considered a hyper local store and supports local farmers, producers, manufacturers and artisans to the fullest extent that is possible. We follow sustainable practices in all facets of the operation and are primarily organic and non-gmo in our kitchen and deli. Deli staff enjoy interacting with our customers and primarily make "to go" and "eat in" wraps, sandwiches and paninis. They also make coffee and portion/serve items from the deli case. Many Creamery staff have been here for decades and working at The Old Creamery Co-op is a lifestyle choice for many. The Old Creamery seeks energetic, upbeat staff members who are team-oriented, great with customer service skills who enjoy working with high quality food. Duties in our busy deli/cafe include: prepping for and preparing items from our large menu of gourmet specialty sandwiches; serving soups, salads and other dishes from our deli case; slicing meats and cheeses; helping to maintain a clean, safe work environment; maintaining great customer service and attention to detail through busy periods. Must be 18+, available to work at least 20hrs/week and have some availability on evenings/weekends. We are seeking applicants who can commit to at least one year and who have flexibility to work varying days and times, as needed. There is the possibility for increased hours and responsibilities for an applicant who shows leadership and commitment to helping our community-oriented business thrive.
