Eppendorf is looking for an Instrument Sales Specialist; an integral member of the Sales team covering New York, NY and surrounding areas!

What you could do for us in this role:

The Instrument Sales Specialist will promote the sale of the company's Automation products within the assigned territory! This individual will introduce products, conduct demonstrations, technical seminars, troubleshoot, and attend local and national trade exhibits. This individual will also demonstrate the following skills and capabilities including but not limited to:
Traveling throughout assigned territory to call on established and prospective customer contacts to create demand for Eppendorf North America Automation Systems products and/or solicit orders. This activity includes both personal visits and contact by phone.
Using persuasive skills and company supplied tools and equipment, meeting company objectives for sales volume, product mix, and new product awareness. Developing and executing time management and account/territory development plans.
Following up and processing sales leads based on information received from Eppendorf NA sales representatives, company trade shows, marketing campaigns, telephone inquiries and other sources. Developing a list of prospective customers on a local level.
Presenting the products, performing on-site field demonstrations when account potential is identified, and providing the necessary follow-up and development to proceed through product sales.
**Up to 70% travel to attend customer sites and tradeshows.**
Requirements:
We are looking for the following skills and experience:
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four year college or university; or one to two years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience with Capital Equipment Sales in the Life Science Industry
