Early Career opportunity!!   What Eppendorf offers: Robust total rewards program including competitive pay and benefits package Company culture that encourages our employees to exercise their creative freedom to introduce his or her own ideas and set things into motion What you could do for us in this role:   The Mold Maker Apprentice will generally be between one to four months where the training is under the guidance of the Technical Manager or designee.  The apprentice will be highly managed, controlled and structured.  The apprentice could be assigned a project that will enhance, optimize or streamline processes.  Will work with the automation team and learn the basic elements of the Work Cell Technician position.  Special project maybe assigned in support of the CPA or packaging room.  Other duties that fall within the skill requirements of the job may be assigned.  The duties and responsibilities listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.  Disassemble, clean and assemble of molds back for production to achieve 100% cavitation rate at start up. Analyze mold problems, make recommendation and repair molds as required. When necessary, outsource repairs and or mold components Set up tool room for operating basic tool room equipment for repairs like surface grinder and CNC mills to be able fabricate, repair or modify mold components Warrant daily operation by troubleshooting of injection mold related problems Disassembly and assembly of molds, including hot runner systems, analyzing basic mold problems, like cooling problems, venting etc. and repairing them as required Repairing and preventive maintenance of mold cavities and cores to ensure continuous production and a smooth operation; troubleshooting and identifying mold issues Assist with the training of co-workers on how to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot molds Requirements: We are looking for the following skills and experience: High school degree or student with two to five years' hands-on experience as a plastic process technician with state-of-the-art molding equipment.   Are you interested in learning more about this exciting opportunity?
