Job Title: DSP2 Float - FULL TIME.
Summary of Position: This position is assigned to fulfill shifts at multiple residential sites to support direct care duties, instruct individuals with developmental disabilities, and promote their dignity, safety, health, welfare rights, and development, including advanced medical behavioral treatment and other assigned duties.
Location: Sites covered in this position include Holyoke, Feeding Hills, Agawam and Wilbraham, MA
Payrate: $19.00/hour.
Essential Job Functions:
- Availability to float between multiple sites to support operational and staffing needs.
- Provide direct care services.
- Implement the individualized service of each person and be current on all changes.
- Perform medical treatments or behavioral interventions.
- Provide med administration.
- Provide CPR/FA. Seek emergency medical care as needed.
- Accompany the individuals we serve to appointments, social functions, recreational activities, and other planned events as requested by supervisor.
- Participate in house cleaning, general maintenance, and laundry.
- Attend and participate in related meetings and trainings.
- Perform other related tasks as assigned by supervisor.
Hiring requirements
- Minimum 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license. Reliable transportation required.
- Over 1 year experience working as direct support professional; Knowledge of Human Services field, direct care services, individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Requires current certifications in specialized training for Medication Administration (MAP). CPR and First Aid.
- Current QBS Safety Training certification (preferred).
