JOB DESCRIPTION:
Global Educators is growing! As such, we’re looking for a Part-Time HR & Operations Assistant to help us keep pace. As the title implies, the HR & Operations Assistant will provide administrative support to the HR and Operations departments, and will report to the Director of HR and Operations. Responsibilities include benefits enrollment, data entry, reporting, onboarding and offboarding, employee file administration, and overall administrative assistant to the department.

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

Insurance
Process renewal applications by pulling reports and generating raw data
Update Bloomfire platform with new plans and rates
Code insurance premium invoices
Gather annual quotes and census information
Process employee changes at open enrollment, and upon hire, separation, life event
Oversee COBRA with TPA
Process ACA Requirements
LTDI insurance management
Code insurance premium invoices
Gather annual quotes and census information
Process employee changes at open enrollment, and upon hire, separation, life event
Flex-spending account
Gather annual quotes and census information
Process employee changes at open enrollment, and upon hire, separation, life event
401(k) retirement plan
Process biweekly 401(k) contributions
Gather annual compliance and census info
Oversee monthly enrollment dates and employee qualification
Process employee changes at and upon eligibility, separation, other trigger
Wellness, First Thursday, NAC Discount, IATA Travel Agent

Payroll:
Remind staff, collect and audit timesheets
Payroll co-administrator with DHRO
Unlocks payroll portal for employee self-service
Payroll portal password reset / access request
Process and maintain tax jurisdictions

Hiring & Separation:
Creates new hire onboarding template & schedules central service orientations
Staff offboarding processing and paperwork

Training & Development:
Assists in creation, hosting, monitoring, setup, and reporting of training initiatives/events

Miscellaneous:
Record-keeping - Employee Navigator & Google Drive & paper files
Employee Navigator portal password reset/ access request
Employment verification
Research new initiatives, laws, programs, as needed
Update miscellaneous forms
Other duties, as assigned

Operations:
Company insurance Certificate of Insurance processing
Other duties, as assigned

SALARY and BENEFITS
Hourly wage - entry level
Part-time, flexible schedule; 25 hours per week with extra hours available seasonally throughout the company
One hour of paid sick time earned for every 30 hours worked

Requirements:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
Bachelor’s Degree or 1-2 years of HR experience
Experience with Google suite
Passion to help our department and company grow successfully
Ability to be flexible and grow in an innovative environment
Proven ability to communicate (verbal and written) clearly
Work efficiently as both a team member and as an individual
Strong attention to detail and alignment to procedures and policy
Efficient working style - we need to move quickly!

You’ll be a GREAT fit if you:
Have more than 1 year direct experience with HR best practices/laws; proven track record of diligence/discretion
Have your PHR or SHRM-CP certification
