JOB DESCRIPTION:

Under the supervision of the AVP of Enrollment Management, the Finance Manager will not only be an exceptional bookkeeper and hands-on with company finances but will also be commercially aware, advising on the best path of growth for our organization. The role of the Finance Manager is to 1) manage a small but dedicated finance team; 2) ensure top-notch customer service with parents, students, and international partners, 3) provide reporting and strategic analysis to company leaders, and 4) advise on methods that improve profitability without sacrificing quality. The Finance Manager will have excellent communication skills with all levels of staff, often working with various departments and external customers.


SPECIFIC DUTIES:

Management:
Manage a small but dedicated finance team
Accounting & Budgeting:
Effectively execute the company’s accounting functions in conjunction with the finance staff
Ensure corporate budgeting processes are carried out and reviewed.
Examine financial and legal documents to verify accuracy and adherence to financial regulations and acceptable financial principles
Oversee invoice creation and collaborate on best practices around collections
Leadership:
Collaborate with and bring good ideas to company President, executive team and external CPA firm and executive those ideas.
Contribute fully to the development and execution of our company finance strategy.
Customer Service:
Establish a high level of credibility and manage strong working relationships with external parties including students, parents and university bursar and financial aid departments.
Maintain knowledge of U.S. Financial aid trends and scholarships, and further develop CISabroad financial aid and scholarship strategy and policies.
Work with other teams at CISabroad, assisting with inhouse training on financial systems and reports as needed
Reporting and Strategic Analysis:
Analyze departmental finances and develop budgets to keep costs down
Provide regular financial analysis and guidance on all activities, plans, targets and organizational drivers.

Requirements:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
Minimum Experience: 3 Years
Preferred Experience: 5-7 Years
Substantial knowledge of QuickBooks
Commercially astute, articulate, technically strong, dynamic, insightful and influential leader with the ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels.
Exceptional communication skills at all levels
