General Summary: Program fidelity and member engagement are the key priorities. The CDP Program Coordinator is responsible for administrative duties as well as instruction related to the Livestrong at the YMCA program and the Enhance Fitness program. This is a part-time position (20-25 hours/week) with both administrative and instructional responsibilities. Under the direct supervision of the Healthy Living Director, the Chronic Disease Prevention Coordinator will be responsible for collecting and analyzing program data to help ensure program fidelity, instructor support, participating in program instruction when needed, and working to build community for program participants.

Requirements:
Job Qualifications:
Demonstrate a sincere interest in fitness and positive attitude.
• YUSA Foundations of Group Exercise or Strength & Conditioning Certification (or equivalent approved course), including all pre-requisites for these courses
• LIVESTRONG at the YMCA Instructor certification (or obtained within first six months of hire)
• Enhance Fitness Instructor certification (or obtained within first six months of hire)
• Completion of YUSA online HIPAA training (within 30 days of hire)
• Must have a clear understanding and commitment to the purpose and mission of the HRYMCA and to incorporate these values into his/her daily work activities.
• High School diploma or equivalent, Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Have previous experience working as a group exercise instructor and/or personal trainer
• Must have good human relation skills and willingness to serve members.
• Basic understanding of Microsoft Excel
• Must have and keep current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications
