Position Title: Global Advising Center Advising Assistant (CIS GACAA)

Location: Northampton, MA

Number of Weekly Hours: Temporary, part-time contract, 20-25 hours/week, August - April

Anticipated Start Date: By July 31

JOB DESCRIPTION

The CISabroad GACAA reports to the Assistant Director of the Global Educators Global Advising Center. The CISabroad GACAA works with all advisors within CISabroad and is responsible for the assisting and supporting the GAC team in the application of advising techniques both online and over the phone. The position’s main objective will be to clear the pipeline of fair leads in order to increase efficiency and the volume of paid applicant conversions.

This position is part of a team of new and experienced professionals at CISabroad who work collaboratively to increase enrollment of CISabroad programs. This position is a good fit for independent, self-motivated, creative, critical thinking, and energetic young professionals or recent graduates interested in the field of international education.

SPECIFIC DUTIES

Marketing and Communication Duties

Make first follow up calls to fair leads from across the US interested in CISabroad programs one year or more away
Basic chat support
Limited, but broad application of knowledge of CISabroad programs
Fill in for advisors during long term absences of a week or more which includes taking on all duties necessary to maintain adequate customer service and conversion levels (i.e. maintain email inquiries, make outbound calls to students, etc.).
Database and GAC Systems Support

Assist with fair lead imports from paper and iPad sources sourced from university events across the US
Other duties as assigned by advisors and departments within CISabroad

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

Bachelor’s degree
Outgoing and energetic personality
Sales and/or customer service experience
Exceptional phone etiquette
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

Experience studying, working or living abroad

Comfort with databases/customer relationship management (CRM) software
Familiarity with Microsoft and Google suites of products

SALARY AND BENEFITS

Entry-level hourly wage
Schedule: Part-time, temporary (August through April) position averaging 20-25 hours per week with shifts ranging between 9:00 AM-7:00 PM
Fun, flexible work environment frequented by furry pups
Paid sick time - 1 hour earned for every 30 hours worked
