This is you
You are an experienced public health professional who is familiar with HealthyPeople.gov and the Healthy People initiative. You have a strong understanding of public health data, and you have experience managing large websites. You are savvy in communicating public health initiatives and public health data to both clients and stakeholders. You are able to translate user research into actionable recommendations for a multidisciplinary team to implement. You enjoy working independently and collaboratively, have experience giving and receiving feedback, and have outstanding organization skills and attention to detail. You are passionate about making health information easier to understand and use.

Responsibilities
Oversee maintenance and support of the HealthyPeople.gov website
Work with the client and stakeholders to communicate public health data to the public via the HealthyPeople.gov website
Support the client in the development of the Healthy People 2030 initiative, including facilitating stakeholder input and engagement
Manage the development of communication products and deliverables with a multi-disciplinary team, including subcontractors
Develop product requirements and specifications and adjust as necessary based on client feedback and user research
Review user research findings and distill the most relevant actions and recommendations for the team to implement
Write clear, concise reports (from top-level summaries to detailed technical reports) for delivery to clients
Work with design, content, and usability staff on information architecture, content strategy, and content layout
Oversee and inform post-production quality control (QC) processes
Ensure products are delivered on time and within budget
Keep project teams, clients, and stakeholders focused by advocating for end users
Act as a connector across project teams to integrate project-level lessons learned across the organization

Qualifications
Master’s degree in public health, with a strong understanding of public health data and a professional commitment to communicating and disseminating information about public health initiatives or programs
A minimum of 3 years proven project management experience, including leading multidisciplinary teams and managing budgets and timelines.
A minimum of 3 years managing large websites, preferably sites that communicate large data sets
Demonstrated experience leading a multidisciplinary team of graphic designers, researchers, writers, and web developers

Preferred
Familiarity with federal plain language guidelines and best practices
Experience conducting formative research with professionals
Supervisory experience
