Disassembling, cleaning and assembling molds back for production to achieve 100% cavitation rate at start up. Disassembling molds, including hot runner systems to analyze for mold problems, such as cooling or venting problems and repairing them as required. Analyzing mold problems in production, making recommendations and repairing molds as required. Performing preventive maintenance of molds, cavities, and cores to ensure efficient production. Setting up the mold room for operating basic mold room equipment for repairs like surface grinder and CNC mills to be able to fabricate, repairing or modifying mold components. Maintaining proper inventory of mold spare parts. Maintaining mold history records, e.g. documenting preventive and mold repairs. Assisting with the training of co-workers on how to operate, maintain and troubleshoot molds.
