In this customer service/reception role, you'll be spending about half your time handling calls from customers and helping them with a variety of requests. Your ability to communicate effectively and eloquently on the phone is crucial for your success in this role. Also, you'll be working extensively with the company database, effortlessly navigating the system to maximize efficiency.

The other part of this role is that of front desk reception/data-entry. As the face of the organization, you'll be the first person visitors and guests see when they arrive on-site. Their experience with you sets the tone for the rest of their visit. Incoming calls to the main switchboard will also come through you, and you'll determine where calls should be routed. While not handling calls or working with visitors, the other part of the reception task list is to assist with the email inbox as well as to work with the back end of various customer service tasks.

When you begin in this position, your first step will be a comprehensive training program. This orients you to the role but also to the company and its products. In addition, they’ll teach you everything you need to know when it comes to doing your job, and there’s a lot! This role will put to work your phone skills in customer service, your multi-tasking ability, and your proficiency and accuracy with data-entry. It’s a key role with the organization, and you’ll work as part of a great team to make sure everything gets done with integrity and attention to quality.
