Description:
Position is hourly, one to two afternoons per week, with additional hours on Saturday morning possible. Both group and individual speech therapy and social communication sessions will be conducted.
Requirements:
Assess, plan, and implement treatment programs for pediatric clients in a private practice setting. Population includes receptive/expressive language, articulation, literacy, and social communication disorders related to a variety of developmental concerns, including autism spectrum disorders.
A Master’s degree in speech-language pathology, including coursework in child development, speech and language development, speech disorders, and language impairments is required. Current Massachusetts state licensure and a certificate of clinical competence in speech-language pathology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association is also required.
Continuing education and clinical experience with group and individual social communication services is highly preferred.
Basic computer skills are required. Ability to learn electronic medical records.
Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills. Educate families regarding treatment plan and strategies. Collaborate with families and other professionals.
High level of service delivery. Demonstrate initiative, ability to meet deadlines, and adapt to changing situations.
Document findings and client performance in a timely manner in accordance with practice and insurance guidelines, including assessment reports, daily SOAP notes, progress notes, and discharge reports.
