Are you looking for some teaching experience and love working with young children?

Join our team of competent and compassionate professionals as a Substitute Teacher at the Kidstop Children’s Centers at Behavioral Health Network! Substitute Teachers assist teachers as they create a safe and caring environment for children ages 3 months to 5 years. This position would be ideal for someone interested in a career in the child care field. It also works well for people who love young children and who likes or needs flexible, part-time hours. An effective Substitute Teacher who is can be offered a more permanent position as an Aide or a Teacher if they qualify. Center Directors assist all staff in obtaining experience and certifications needed to advance if they choose. There is no pressure to move on. We are always looking for wonderful substitute teachers!

Our Kidstop Infant, Toddler, and Preschool programs are licensed and accredited by the National Association of the Education of Young Children serving the children and families of the Ware and Palmer, MA area. These various programs provide children from 2 months to 5 years old with care and educational services, keeping the small ratio of teachers to children to ensure the quality of care. Our programs offer a structured curriculum, free play, meals, snacks, planned rest and daily outside play. Behavioral Health Network is a growing non-profit community behavioral health agency that has been providing services to children, adults, families and communities in Western Massachusetts since 1938. BHN provides comprehensive, outcome-driven behavioral health care. Requirements:
Substitute Teachers at Behavioral Health Network have the following qualities:
• Able to multi-task.
• Able to work as a team member in a fast-paced setting.
• Able to communicate clearly.
• Experience in Early Childhood or a related field (preferred).
• Flexibility in assignments and work hours is (required).
