Valley Medical Group is seeking a 32 hour Mammography Technician.

Position: Mammography Technician / Radiology Technician II
Location: Northampton and Easthampton, MA

Responsibilities: The Mammography Tech operates Radiologic equipment to make clinical diagnostic X-rays, as directed by Physician orders and Radiologist protocols. The Technician manages Radiology orders, billing functions, EMR buckets and PACS. The Mammography Technologist will be required to help train new employees and perform additional duties such as Mammography Quality Control, Mammography tracking, outreach to patients and other duties as needed. Hologic DBT machine in Easthampton office.

The Mammography Tech performs diagnostic procedures on patients to meet the established practice parameters and standards of care. Duties also include management of radiology orders, patient X-Ray request and updating billing information.

• Completion of course in Radiology Technology approved by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist course
• Current certification ARRT
• Minimum of one year experience in bone density
• Licensed with the State of Massachusetts
• Current Mammography and bone density certification
• Responsible for completing necessary CEUS for State license and ARRT certification
• Computer skills applicable to the healthcare setting
• Ability to interpret, adapt, and apply guidelines and procedures
