Join our team of competent and compassionate professionals as a Counselor at the Hope Center at Behavioral Health Network! As a Counselor, you will support the growth, independence, and safety of the individuals we serve. They oversee individuals’ activities to ensure compliance with program activities and policies and provide guidance and direct counseling. In addition, Counselors develop and facilitate treatment plans and diverse psycho-educational groups and provide crisis intervention and emergency services when needed. They also assist individuals with aftercare planning by providing referrals and access to appropriate agencies and provide transportation for them with insured and registered personal vehicles, as needed.
Other responsibilities of Counselors include communicating with other staff members as needed and completing program specific documentation such as incident reports and progress notes, as well as reporting specific safety concerns. Counselors at BHN work collaboratively with program supervisors to ensure quality of services for individuals served. They learn to work as a collaborative team with the goal of delivering high quality sound clinical treatment. Counselors will grow through ongoing training and firsthand experience that will enhance their skills and provide additional employment opportunities.

Requirements:
Counselors at Behavioral Health Network have the following qualities:
• Individuals must be committed to client empowerment and growth, human rights, and community integration.
• Must be in successful recovery for two or more years.
• LADC II or LADC III (Licensed Alcohol and Drug Assistants) or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of one year experience working with substance abuse population.
• High school diploma or G.E.D.
• Valid Driver’s License.
