Administrative Assistant (full-time)
Northampton Community Music Center

Qualifications:
College degree (minimum Associate’s or Bachelor’s)
Minimum 2 years prior work experience
Computer proficiency (Apple preferred)
Personable demeanor and sense of humor essential
Music background preferred
Spanish/English language proficiency a plus

Starting Salary: $26,000 per year

Work Schedule (subject to change, as needed):
Tuesdays through Fridays, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, Saturdays 8:30 am to 3:00 pm (academic year)
Mondays through Fridays, 9:00 to 5:00 pm (summer)
(Occasional additional hours will be required to assist with special events and meetings)

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Reception duties (assisting visitors, teachers and students; answering phones; directing calls and messages to appropriate personnel, etc.)
Create press releases, event flyers, recital programs, and other public correspondence
Help maintain regularly updated database and paper files
Assist E.D. with grant research and proposals
Assist E.D. with organization of outreach and new community engagement opportunities
Assist Registrar during heavy registration and billing periods
Assist with recruitment of new students, advertisers, underwriters, event sponsors, and contributors
Assist with planning and presentation of special events
Provide training and supervision of interns and faculty members on administrative procedures
Capture photos and video footage of programs and events
Troubleshoot technology issues and assist with software installations and trainings
Manage inventory of office supplies
Serve on marketing committee and attend committee meetings
Additional duties as deemed necessary by E.D.
