the office director will be leading the day-to-day operations of the office, ensuring smooth operations & profitability. the ideal candidate will have a depth of experience working in an entrepreneurial, small-business environment as opposed to a corporate structure, & will have a proven track record expanding & transitioning small businesses to mid-sized.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

managerial & project management:
• involved in strategic development for upcoming needs
• develop detailed project plans & schedules
• assure productivity & efficiency of office, production & shipping departments
• exhibit a professional manner in dealing with others, working to maintain constructive working relationships.
• assure a positive & collaborative work atmosphere

human resources:
• hire, train, develop and evaluate staff
• ensure employee compliance to company policies, procedures & business ethics
• take corrective action as necessary on a timely basis and in accordance with company policy.
• negotiate health plans
• ensure compliance with all applicable regulations & oversee all necessary reporting to state agencies

finance:
• run finance reports and performance analysis of business
• prepare purchase orders
• negotiate with vendors as needed

operations & compliance:
• ensure efficient & complete communication of relevant information among different departments
• oversee operations of production & shipping departments, ensuring efficiency, problem-free production schedule & timely fulfillment of orders
• oversee maintenance of facility & operational compliance records.
Requirements:
SKILLS:
• proficient in: newest version of QuickBooks Enterprise, Microsoft Office Suite
• excellent communication skills, both written & verbal
• strong sense of urgency toward getting the job done
• high attention to detail

• multitasking: manage multiple projects concurrently

QUALIFICATIONS:
• proven record of success at the managerial level at small- to mid-size companies
• ideally, experienced with consumer product manufacturing company in personal care industry
• self-motivated—proven ability to meet & exceed established goals
• professionalism, maturity & ability to work within a team & independently
• excellent communication & organizational skills – verbal & written, attention to detail
• proven ability to work under deadlines with a strong sense of urgency & dedication
