The purpose of this Van Driver position is to provide safe and timely transportation of approved passengers to and from their places of residence. Through the principles of informed choice of the people served, and with consultant assistance, the Van Driver provides transportation services in ways that enhance the independence, self-esteem and skills of the participants and implements behavioral interventions appropriately. This position requires the Van Driver to show empathy and good judgment at all times. Van Drivers must be alert to changes and nuances of behaviors and emotions of our participant population. In addition, all staff are expected to perform physical labor, including but not limited to lifting and moving up to 60 pounds, lifting and moving up to 200+ pounds with assistance of other employees. Proper lifting techniques are provided through ongoing in-service trainings. Other Position Details: • Split shifts available: 6:30am – 9:00am AND/OR 2:30pm – 5:00pm • Starting Rate: $12.00/hour • Must be licensed and insured with a good RMV record and 3 years driving experience Accepting resumes/applications until positions are filled.
